Hi

Seems even the police are realising that the scamera partnerships are cheating:-

This probably stretches further than Norfolk I expect. Out of the many speed cameras that I have seen in my area, I think only about 25% are actually in an area that is dangerous or has had accidents. Thumbs Down Sad

All the speed cameras in my area are empty. Not because they are meant to be, because people have stolen the insides! Twisted Evil

I've heard some people drill a hole in a the base of the camera and spray that expanding foam inside, which then solidifies. This is of course very illegal and naughty. Wink

And does fuck all. All it does it make it harder to take the film out. They still get it out, and it's still got your photo on it.

Hi

It gets better:-

https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/News/story.asp?datetime=31+Mar+2004+12%3A36&tbrand=ENOnline&tCategory=NEWS&category=News&brand=ENOnline&itemid=NOED31+Mar+2004+12%3A37%3A07%3A120

Looks like they might get some money taken back by the treasury. Hopefully the thieves will go bankrupt, and the surcharge on the councilors who voted for it should stop them being so keep on such scams in the future.

All the best

Keith

Hi

And to add to the fun, now even the Chief Constable is refusing to defend their actions.

This says a lot for the Goverments own review of speed cameras not so long ago Evil or Very Mad

Just goes to show that the review was faked and a total washout.

Hi

The "review" consisted of the government writing to the scamera partnerships and asking them if their cameras complied with the rules.

All the best

Keith

I saw on an old Jeremy Clarkson 'meet the neighbors' episode, the Swedish destroying speed cameras. There was photos of ones that had been blown up using explosives, as said above a hole drilled into it and some kind of foam put in that expands and people even shot at them with a shot gun Laughing.

One camera near me was blown up!Of course I was outraged, yeah right!

There is a group of people called MAD(motorists against detection)who specialise in camera vandalism.
