The front end and tank look better than the seat and tail section. Colour scheme looks uber cool.

I had one for a courtesy bike from Mtc whilst mine was having the brakes done, fun little commuter bike but nothing else had 70 clock speed two up it had good mpg and survived having a board of plaster or something flying into it from a builders van at 60 mph . Thumbs Up

I know a fella who has got one as a ratty commuter, never said a bad word about it.

Same engine as GN250 I think he said.

Cheers
John

Mick is a big fella and it seems to suit him fine, just for reference, he used to ride a cbx1000.

Cheers

I looked at a silver one (better colour scheme imo) a while ago, it looked good but was unbelieveably slow.

From https://www.usedbikeguide.com/bible/display.asp?id=319 :-

Quote:
Mild and unlikely to offend, this custom single has potential for serious commuting but nothing resembling performance or thrills. Engine runs to 40k with few problems then piston, valves and camchain wear; the crankshaft tends to be worn out around 70k. Chassis gradually rots away, with silencer first to go. Both GN and TU prone to big end failures if oil not fastidiously maintained. Good for clocking up economic miles. TU250X took over in ’98 - much the same, but with rather more traditional roadster styling. TU 250
is considered by some to be the world’s ugliest bike!
