Well after 2 months or so (Waiting on bodywork) the R1 is 95% complete! Very Happy I have had the bodywork resprayed and replaced almost every bolt on the bike with new stainless steal versions.

I just need to attach the front carbon fender and sort the brake hose mounts, and put the stickers on the bike. This is what I have done so far

* Body respray
* Digigear Indicator
* Tinted Screen
* Polished all metal up
* Carbon front and rear fenders
* Full stainless body kit
* Carbon tank cap
* R1 tank pad
* YZF Grips
* Painted gold sprocket
* Blue sprocket nuts
* Carbon Yoke cover
* Smoked headlight covers
* Built in satnav

I have also mounted say nav in semi permanently too. The only things i am not happy about is the fact that the paint work is not brill. A bit they fixed (supposedly) broke, when I put a grommet in and split the paint and flaked off. So I now need to stick something over it to cover it!

But I think its looking better than before.

What you guys think?

I really like what you have done with the undertray. Mine looks pants where I have cut it down and just filed the rough edge to still fit the number plate, think I need to chop it all the way down and get a tail tidy in there.

Where did you mount the sat nav?

Left hand infill (missing in pic) mounted a bracket and i then use a phone holder to hold the PDA with the sat nav in it. it slots into the bracket! Ill get some more pics when back from hol, with it all working.

I don't actually like the paint scheme, the bike just generally has a cheap feel to it with this carbon stuff and "YZF" merchandise. Although its your bike and i cans ee why people would like it.

I have to admit though, i wouldnt say no to even just riding pillion, neevrmind owning it Wink

Thumbs Up

Please dont take it the wrong way, But I too think it looks cheap and a bit "Slapped together".

I'm hoping you just "Placed" them rear light in for the picture? Or is that actually how they sit?

Not sure what that is on the seat but ti looks like you have stenciled it on with white spray paint.

Also loose the grips, Med Renthals = win.

The lights are like that normally! I just swapped it for a clear one! The seats need to be recovered as they are a bit worn. The grips will be replaced they are cpl years old, and Im still not finished yet.

I have all the stickers to put on the bike.

Well I don't personally like the colour scheme, however I think it is an original design with some classic R1 elements. He's obviously put some thought and effort into it... a lot more than goes into other BCF home paintjobs.

I say: Top work!
