Assuming arctic range are some of the best, why are there so many...

Arctic Cooling MX-2

Arctic Silver 5

Arctic Ceramique

The first two are the same price, the latter slightly cheaper, the MX-2 claims to be a non conductive thing so if you spill it it won't matter.

But I fail to see why if one is clearly better than the other, why they still sell them all.

Used arctic cooling on the last build - has been fine .

But your reading too much into it - they're pretty much all the same mate .
Just don't use too much - dot a tiny bit on the processor and spread it finely over the chip .

If you buy an aftermarket cooler most of them come with paste already applied Wink

on my first ever build (AMD Duron 1600), i didn't use any thermal compound! I didn't know you needed any at the time!

It lasted a fair while considering! about 6 months before the chip was fcuked
