Well i am so f*cked off.
Fking fking fking f*cked off !
Got woken up at 5 this morning by the police to be told my bike had been found 1/2 a mile away completely destroyed.

The b*stards had climbed through 3 other gardens got into mine smashed the 2 padlocks and bolts off then nicked it.

Weird as f*ck part next. The f*cking b@stard managed to get less than 1/2 a mile away when he crashed it.
According to the copper he was not only drunk but not wearing a helmet.

How the f*ck he survived.....answers on a postcard.

See the pics below he must have been doing 60+ to do that kind of damage to the box.

I take it they have the guy in question to know he was pished.

Civil claim once the normal court process is complete.

Would be nice to visit him and rub vinegar into the road rash.

whats worse is that my neighbour keeps his bike on the pavement in front of his house with no cover locks chains nothing.

So the little f*cker climbed over three 6 foot fences, forced 2 padlocks and bolts to steal my 1993 CBR when there was an R reg suzuki streetfighter v-twin sitting in plain view !

I'm so fed up right now and have to face the commute to work in the car for the first time in nearly a year.

I got so lucky with my bike. It was bullet proof. Started every morning, ran like a dream and i had total faith in it.
Sounds f*cking stupid but i become attached to the old girl and just want to beat the seven bells of sh*t out of the scrote that destroyed her.

Now i have to start all over again looking for another bike. Travelling to inspect it and pick up etc.
Right now i'm not sure if i'm going to bother as it will probably just get nicked.

What's to investigate?

Pissed up bike theif crashes stolen bike. Doesnt seem to me that theres anything else they need to know. Unless they are going to try and stitch you up with having an un roadworthy bike. (I wouldnt put it past them)

Closing the road indicates he's died. Hopefully.

Not likely !

If he makes it then he'll get sent to the Bahamas for a month to recover from the trauma and then the huggy feely brigade will talk through the emotional difficulties that he's suffered which led him to steal my bike.

Then i'll have to apologise to him for not making it secure enough !

Fking justice - Not in the UK

Public flogging / stoning. Now that would put them off.

It's been recovered as part of the investigation of a crime not a recovery. Sealed by the Police means they want it for evidence so they pay for it. You cannot be charged while the Police refuse to allow you to remove it.

So once the police have finished will the garage start charging by the second until i can remove it?

By the sounds of it i'll need a large dustpan and brush to collect it.

Cheers

Hi

You will have to pay £105 recovery fee and £12 a day storage. The storage fee basically starts at mid day from the day after it is available to be collected (so should not apply until the polce have finished with it).

Don't think you can claim from the MIB as it is theft.

All the best

Keith

Yes, you should be able to. Indeed I think it is what you are expected to do.

All the best

Surely that is illegal the police are effectively stealing your bike then charging to bring it back.

It would have told them to leave it and I'll recover it myself.

I asked the copper who came to the house about that.
I actually stated i wanted to collect it myself but he said because it was stolen and involved in a crash / injury i couldn't.

First thing that crossed my mind after reading other posts on here was recovery cost then completely forgot until sickpup reminded me.

I'm going to take a wander down to the garage in a bit to see if i can see anything as its just round the corner from my office.
