Any new crashes recently?

Well I'll add one!

I've been in hospital for the past 5 days after I crashed on tuesday.
Lost controll on a corner (one of my favourits incedently) and crashed head on with a barrier at about 60 mph.
Broked my ankle pretty good (in 7 places they said) and am in cast for 3 months and plates and bolts for 6 Sad
Well at least I'm home.

As for the bike, the forks were about as bent as they could be, but thats all I could see whiles being carried to the ambulance Sad
I'll have to go have a look at it sometime over the next few days.
Felt weird arriving home and for the bike not to be there.

I'm on fully comp so we'll see how that goes.

Feww, it's hard work typinng with one hand and from the other side of the room (have to have my leg up)

Chat later,
Jeff

You have my sympathies Jeff, hope you get better soon - obviously you're going to be in casts for a few months but I hope you lighten up inside Very Happy

Thanks for the wishes!

I'm feeling a lot better at home now relaxing Smile

On Easter holidays atm, so at least good timing for accident.

Have to get used to crutches quickly as university of cape town is famous for the amount of stairs it has (being on the side of a mountain).

Thanks again!

Hi,

Sounds like you got a sore one mate. Least it's all fixable. Don't worry about your bike, at least you'll be able to walk\ride again. I'd rather lose my bike than my legs.

Also, surely holidays is a bad time to have an accident? Think of all the free time you'd have to ride...just my opinion!

All the best, speedy recovery.

Mark

daniel1909,

Especially in view of the recent accidents (and the way it's visibly affected the Board) that really is in poor taste Thumbs Down

SteveH

PS I unfortunately rated DR C's post as abusive as opposed to the one above - can a mod remedy this please if possible (and maybe change my name to Technophobe Rolling Eyes ). Many apologies Dr C, I fully agree with your post if that makes any difference whatsoever Karma
