The likely chance on here you will be told to get A honda CG125

As i think you only fill the petrol tank up like once in its life and the engine is more reliable than the japanese train service

Unfortunatly they look shite IMHO

Save up a bit more and get a Honda XR125 as they look 10 times better and they have the same reliability

But each to there own afterall Thumbs Up

Don't discount the RXS100 either, I bought mine for £250 it is an '88 I rode it for a year with not one thing going wrong with it. I still have it as I couldn't bring myself to sell it. They are cheaper than the CG and just as reliable. The only thing is they are 2stroke and require extra oil. Mine would hit 70mph with my lardy arse on it.

The only downside is 6v electrics which means the lights and indies can be weak and it only has a kick start. (I never had a problem kickstarting it)

Yeah similar bikes, I remember when I tried a wheelie and asked my mate how it looked, he said "it was well good you got a good 6" of the floor" Laughing

Just have a look and see what is available for the money you’ve got.
I’d probably be trying to get an NSR for road work, or a DT/KMX if I wanted to try some dirty stuff.

What has chain size got to do with wheelies? Confused

I maybe wrong but i would thought as they have little skimpy chains they are likely to fall apart quicker compared to a whopper Wink

My RXS's chain was a tad bigger than a push bike chain and only needed adjustment once in 6k miles, and I ragged the crap out of it.

And that has nothing to do with how good a bike is at wheelies.

A CG125 chain probably isn't any less than half the width of a litre bike chain; yet the litre bike weighs twice as much and makes a fair bit over ten times the power.

I wouldn't worry too much about the size of the chain - the quality will probably make more of a difference.

On my CRM125 I'm using bits of the same chain that was previously on an R6 race bike!

Ah, I understand - though still the same point that it shouldn't make much difference.

The NSR can bea good bike, for example I bought an NSR for £200, it had the Malossi big bore on to make it a 185....

All that needed doing was change the head gasket and re new the fuel tap....

Jobs a good 'un Thumbs Up

Don;t be jealous, that was the bike that made me realise that me and two strokes are not destined to be together Wink

Hence why after only two months I sold it for a cool £500 Laughing

It was only a little bike to get me back on the road again after breaking my back...After a year off I was a bit rusty Embarassed
