GSXR 750 - SRAD vs K1

Hi all

Im in the market for a GSXR 750 as soon as my insurance gets their arse in gear and sends me a cheque.

Im looking at getting about 2k give or take for my bike and have set my heart on a gixer for my next bike, so for that kind of money Im looking at getting a 1998 - 2001 depending on what arrives.

Can anyone let me know what the major differences betwen the years would be and whats the best model (well year) to be looking out for out of those years?

I think the K1's are fuel injected while the SRAD are carb'd.

I wanted a SRAD but then after looking at 1 properly i really think they needed to go on a diet as they look fat, big ol jelly moulded like rear put me off

double checked that one already

the SRAD after 98 is fuel injected so thats why i picked that as the earliest year - its been recomended by nearly everyone i spoke to to go for fuel injecetd over carbs.

Im just interested if thers any noticable differences in the two bikes in terms of quality, reliability, handling etc

If theyre all pretty similar ill try and get a 2k1 model because it a bit younger, but who knows yet.

I (think) everything on a Y-53 plate is pretty much the same bike, apart from colours.
