Have a look through all the posts in this forum - there is a mass of useful information stored within and some interesting stories too.

You're not lending credibility to yourself by not bothering to check where you should post before doing so, by the way.

he means try using the search button at the top with some keywords that might bring up relevant articles

Id suggest doing some smaller trips before you go, to get the feel for things. It will make sure you have everything you need.

https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ is a motorbike travel site and has loads of useful tips and stories

Dave give the lad a brake. It is easer to start a new tread than read trough all the crap on the other one.
It is a new tread so lets leave the other one out.

Actually, I was talking about posting in the wrong section. (You will note I moved the post.) And on that, he doesn't really need to use the search button, as all of the threads in this (sub)forum are on that subject, thus the suggestion Smile.

On hubb the advrider site is also very good for touring suggestions.

And no, presuming he seriously does want to get do this, which I believe he does, then as before I will not ignore pointing out issues and that includes moaning at people that make me have to do 'work'.
I've been in the argument before and I do not believe people should get special treatment, treated with much lower expectations, just because they are young.

Have a read through this guy's site.

https://mopedtrip.com/index.html

It's dated and the roads will be different, but you might get some ideas regarding the preparation required and problems you might encounter. Although there aren't many bears in the UK.[/url]
