Hey all,

It seems that every time I finish a ride on my Thundercat (can be 20 or 200 miles), my left knee feels like I've been doing weird things with it (like after going for a run or playing an indoor football game for the first time in years) and there's like an "Adidas stripe" of numbness going down the outside of my left thigh. The knee thing lasts a couple of hours but the thigh numbness lasts 24 hours or more. The knee isn't painful (just noticeable) and the numbness doesn't stop me doing anything - it's just a 'dead' stripe 2-3" wide from below the hip bone to just above the knee. There is no numbness whenever I ride a less aggressively-positioned bike (e.g. a CB500), but the knee thing is still there.

I'm a fairly new returnee to riding and I'm a bit of a fat bastard with short legs, so it could be a nerve pinch by the seat while stopped, and the knee is probably just a fitness/strength issue that will resolve itself. I've been reading about Meralgia parasthetica and it, or some other kind of parasthesia, seems to be a likely candidate for the numbness (and I do have prior back damage).

Has anyone else experienced this? Any opinions? I'm going to give it some time under varying conditions before risking my neck with the NHS. Smile Besides, it may go away once my fitness improves and I lose some more of the lard.

I get it in my hands, it can last up to 2 days but normally goes after a few hours. Funny thing is, i can't feel it while on the bike.
