Still feel absoloutly knackered, have doen all week.
Hav'nt posted properly on here in some time now, to much going on.
Anyway randomly a few weeks ago I rented a Honda CG125 whilst my RVF is off the road, had it for two weeks and had a hoot on it.
In that time I randomly passed BeatNcks' house and recognised him and the old star Kenny
Well Nick and I have both just started a IMI motorbike mechanics and shit course at Worcester Tech, and I had to take the bus to get there everyday last week Which I was'nt happy about.
So this morning I went back upto the club and rented another Honda CG, not the one I learnt to ride on this time but it runs better.
Stuck around to help instruct the CBT riders then went over to Nicks' to call on him and Kenny.
About an hour or so later we left,
Me on the CG
Nick on his Speedfour of course
Kenny on his newest bike, the CBR600
Nicks brother James on a GSXR 600?
Anyway we headed out of Malvern link and towards Leigh Sinton, but not before I allmost flipped the CG... Not doing a wheelie, but fishtailing a bit over enthuisiastically.
Through Leigh Sinton and then we headed towards Frommes Hill
I got left in the dust for obvious reasons but then we had a bit of a hoot on the twisties.
Turned right at Frommes Hill and towards Bradford, good roads today, pleasant enough weather and not to much mess... until we got close to the Bradford twisties which were coated in hay and mud... Not to mention packed with Facking camper vans and the like.
All made good progress and turned back towards Worcester,
I cheekily nipped upto the front of the pack butit did'nt last long after my hairy overtakes as Kenny and James found an R1 to play with... They were gone.
Carried on and cuaght them in the corners again, eventually got to the large roundabout outside of Dynes Green, Worcester and realised we'd lost Nick.
He eventually turned up having got stuck behind the traffic and we just chilled there, then Kenny started monkeying about with his kneedowns and encourage me to have a go on the CG (allready scrapped the pegs on the road alot but not kneedown).
Anyway I surfed the rounabout and after many times casually going around with much lean angel I decided to add a fuck load of 'hangofthebike', which worked becuase I got kneedown on the CG!
Only touched it once before and that was on my NSR, I was properly leaned over, getting what I think was a decent speed and the feeling was half nerves but so much enjoyment.
Had another go at it later and widened my path, got it down much easier and held it easily.
Rode back to the layby and Nick checked and announced that my tyres were still cold
As soon as he gets that Bobber built he says hes going to make an effort to get the leg over down there
Anyway I'm sure Nick will agree, not a bad ride... plenty of gimmickery especially when we aproached the heavier traffic in Powick.
Only my first real rideout apart from the Manchester fuel protest.
Good news is that I'll fix my RVF and have it on the road this tiem next next week |
