Haha, Knew it wouldnt be long. The bike is less than 2 months old and already its looking like a pile of parts! Laughing

Idea:

I got bored of the red/black theme very quickly. Also the road legal pit bikes only come in red, blue or black anyway. So when you see another road legal Pit on the road, Its always the same bloody colour.

Not only that, The red has started to fade already! Shocked Shocked Shocked
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/19082008167.jpg

So, Ive decide, I want to have a White theme, With bits of black and red on the bike. So going for an Alpinestar graphics theme. It'd be rude not to.
This sort of idea, but with white background.
https://www.crf50shop.com/images/HO061-ALP.jpg

Ive managed to source plane white plastics on ebay. BLOODY hard time doing it too. Pit bikes either have "CRF" style plastics. Or "KLX" style plastics.

99% of pit bikes are the CRF style. So that tiny 1% would be me! Laughing

As its road legal, headlight cowl's are hard to find in any colour other than red or black. And normal Enduro ones are massive. So Ive had to spray mine white for the time being. Ive done it with plastic primer, Then just lacquered over it. It looks quite good.
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00016.jpg

Went for black wheels/white rim tape (its the reflective stuff too!)
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00015.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00014.jpg

Got black bars on the way. Also a hard thing to come by. As They have to be high rise "mini bike" bars. Which are always in stupid anodized colours! Evil or Very Mad
https://i1.ebayimg.com/08/i/000/ff/b4/6607_1.JPG

I shall keep you updated. Cool

Arriving over the next few days will be.

White plastics
Black bars
Shineray Rear shock (Longer than my stock one)
USD forks (hopefully they will fit)
17t front sprocket (15t is standard)

You thinking of getting any sexy bits for the engine? I'm sure Takegawa would just love to give you some go faster bits (for a resonable fee...) Thumbs Up

Why spend time 'pimping' the exterior when you could just fit one of these... Laughing

On a serious note. Ive been looking at engines. But not a baby 140 block. Why would I want to spend £300 to upgrade my engine by 15cc Confused

Lifan do a 200 lump for their "enduro" crosser bike. Which indeed, Bolts straight into any mini bike/pit bike/monkey bike.

But I wont be doing that until ive got the perimeter frame, Fastace suspension and 15mm axles at least.

The added torque of a 200cc engine will probably rip my sprocket off. There is a lot more to it than just bolting in a big bore engine.

Been a bit busy. Ive managed to adapt the bulb housing and put an Ice blue (Gas discharge effect) lamp in.
Also got the back wheel back on, Just waiting on a shock.

USD forks will make it look 100x better.

I've got a couple of mates who had road legal Xsports, they had Pro Taper mini bike bars on if your after decent looking bars, they were fookin ace.

Cant wait to see it finished dude Thumbs Up

If im honest, I cant justify £100 on an exhaust which will be no use to me once ive got the big engine in there as it will be far too narrow of a bore size.

been eying up this end can though.

The wheels were originally black. I Just added white rim tape.

Absolute bugger to do though as they are small 12" rims. The tape was running round at a steeper angle than say on a 17 or 18" wheel. So it kept coming off.

12"? Luxury!

Mine were only 10!

One of those and a ploughed field is the most fun and unpredictable hour you'll ever spend, shortly followed by a broken collar bone Laughing

Binge, get some scrubs on them (I kid you not - they have race classes for Pitbikes etc) and down to your local track. They are so much fuckin fun on little twisty tracks, kneedowns on all corners, really does make you grin. But jesus it fuckin' knackers you though!

And honestly, silly as it sounds, I equate the sound of 10-15 Pit Bikes starting up (albeit half of them race modded) as the same feeling I get when on a track day and 30 odd "proper" bikes have just started. They sound well beasty, little singles.

If you get a 200cc and a straight through can, massive carb and jetting to suit...and some sticky rubber Cool

Any advice as to where to get the 'new' style dotted number/letter stamps? All I can find is the 'old' style stamps akin to these:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/number-and-letter-punch-stamp-set-new-in-box-A-Z-0-9_W0QQitemZ360089187493QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360089187493&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Nice project btw Thumbs Up

Made alot of progress and pretty much come to the end of my tarting up part of the project.

Main things to come are ASV Folding Levers, USD forks, 10" wheels. And eventually a new frame and the 160cc 20bhp 3v racing engine.

Afraid ive got no decent pictures. Sony Walkman phones dont take great photos in the dark.

Got a new lid and goggles too.

I'm waiting on a new seat, Its currently in the post, So yes that is white insulation tape you can see covering up the red parts on my Seat! Laughing

Got the Brace bar fitted to the bars, Then spent ages searching bike shops for a 8.5" bar pad (They are all 10")

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00027.jpg

First proper "performance" mod really. 17 tooth front sprocket (Up fro 15). Big Noticeable difference! Where the bike is so torquy and highly geared, It hasn't affected acceleration at all, In fact, its made it better because first gear is actually usable now, Not just a 2mph gear! Laughing
Top speed also up by 5mph. Tops out around 60mph on the flat now. Indicated 65mph down hill.
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00026.jpg

Bit of a handling mod. Got a longer, adjustable rear shocker. Raises the rear by about an inch, Also alot better dampening.
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00028.jpg

"minty Fresh" New KLX110 Plastics. All the way from the one and only (hong kong).

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00029.jpg

Then my new helmet and goggles. Modeled for you by my girlfriend. Smile
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00031.jpg

And the bike. Shocking picture. More to come!

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/DSC00032.jpg

I'm gonna get one from the Shineray. They are ALOT smaller. Just finding one in white that is hard.

Dont want to start cutting it and fucking it up.

Also on the hunt for a set of USD's that are gonna fit! Evil or Very Mad

Ive been considering getting 10's because my mates Shineray is on 10" rims and looks phat. Only thing is, His pit is way smaller than mine. So ive a feeling mine will look strange on 10" wheels.

Although alot more tyres are available in 10".
