Hiya, just got back into motocrossing. Got an old YZ 250 at the mo, but want to get a 4 stroke.....do I need a 250 4 stroke or a 450 4 stroke Question Any advice on this and recommendation of model would be grateful. Thanks.

If you want similar go to the YZ in a 4 stroke, then go for the 450; the 250 probably weighs about the same as your YZ, but won't make much more power than a 125 2 stroke.

yes the japs are not prepared to put in the effort to control emissions for the american market on their 2 strokes as much as ktm/husky/gasgas .
yet again the american "emission controls" overrule ours.

i believe yamaha/suzuki are still producing just how long for??

you'll find good buys pretty soon as the stockpile depletes.

apparently yamaha sell more wr450 in california than all of europe so why should they care about the humble 2stroke.

I would go for a 250 2 stroke , have had both 450 4/ and 250 2/ and always end up going back 2 stroke , find them more fun Smile
