You're a horrible person Jake. You should have stopped and at least broken its neck.

I was on one of my favourite roads near mine, about 5 miles of tight twisty country roads, and I exited a corner, cranked over, straightened, pinned it for the next corner in second and BOOM, I was winded, braking, doubled over my bike.

It seems Pidgeons dont approve of fast riding, and so decided to aim its considerable size (it was HUGE! Shocked ) at my 80mph abdomen. The stupid thing was, slowing down for the next corner, I looked down, and it was still there! Laid in my lap, happy as larry (well, if larry had broken wings, blood and feathers everywhere) struggling weakly Crying or Very sad

So I picked it up and chucked it, it hit the deck at 50mph and PUMPH, exploded in a ball of feathers.

Ah, that was a good day. I felt so powerful. I'd been tested, and I hadnt been found wanting. Cool

Fuckin' rats with wings.

Don't think I've ever hit anything on the bike. However, I did hit a young deer when on the blues in the ambulance.

Had to borrow a mop and bucket from A&E to scrub Bambi's guts & brains from the drivers side! Twisted Evil

I hit a rabbit last night

It was sat in the middle of the road while I was going about 80mph, I would of missed it if it didn't decide to run a few inches to the left exactly where my front wheel was heading.

It made a crunching sound and I kind of felt a small bump.

i did something similar to a squirrel. one day i was riding and a squirrel ran out from under a car. he kinda did the headlights deer thing. it jumped left then right then left. i swayed a bit each time it moved but hit it.

i heard a crunch and the squirrel was jumping around crazy in the mirror. the next morning i saw it on the road. dead

I have hit an owl before, its bloody hard to break necks on them things. It just flew out of a hedge and straight into my leg.

Friend has been hit by a bat before, he has his visor open and a bat hit his face. Said it felt all velvety on the side of his face.

And there's an Actual Horse on the forum, never mind the RSPCA. The horse is a member of BCF.

I’ve had the same, albeit at a much slower speed on a London backstreet. I rode straight at a couple of pigeons sat in the road. One went left and the other took off vertically, hit my screen, bounced into my chest and ended up flapping around in my lap. I reached down and scooped it sideways. I didn’t stop to check, but I suspect that it survived… …unfortunately.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving the company car quite briskly down a lane near my home. Came round a bend to see a pigeon sat in the road. I didn’t slow down and expected it to fly off, but it just sat there…

…bham!... …feather explosion and see it rolling down the road behind me.

Gave me a huge fit of giggles. Embarassed

I would never intentionally hurt any of God’s creatures, but as pigeons are clearly the spawn of Satan I think that they’re fair game. Very Happy

Killed a badger with a bike? I have trouble believing that, having been a passenger in a series 2 landrover that hit a badger then came off worse than said animal... Shocked

Old brock walked off through the hedge looking mightily narked, on stopping we discovered a hefty dent in the nearside wing and ripped brake line. No sign of badger in field.

As an aside, a word to the wise here. Don't get a pheasant stuck in your visor whilst going around corners. It's very distracting.

I came off very quickly after hitting it hence the new fairing to be fair my mate had to hit it with a branch off a tree to finish it off I only succeeded in doing a sort of wheelie come jump off it. but it didn't look to healthy after I'd hit it Laughing

Never hit anything but got stung on the neck by a nasty wasp/horent or somthing. My mate hit a bird on the motorway and he had to pull into the next services to wash the blood and guts of him and his Ducati.
