If they can record you at lots of different CCTV cameras speeding will be a thing of the past as they'll be able to get you on average speeds.

It's a step too far just like putting microphones in lampposts to catch terrorists was.

The time scale is what worries me.

I get a shudder everytime I see that poster

and I agree with ZZr - except the problem with government data is that losing it produces a copy - meaning there'll be 400 copies of my movements in circulation before long

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

Trouble is I agree, and I'm normally the law abiding ype.

Seems to me the less you obey the rules, (Tax, License, Insurance, real plate etc.) the less you're likely to get caught doing anything.

You'r exactly right there friend... and while atm I obey these laws (apart from the fact my bike is'nt MOT'd or Taxed or Sorn'd right now (off the road)).
If I don't like a law I generally won't make any effort to stick to it.

Simply, if the goverment want to be cunts about it then you can choose to act in opposition through a hell of a lot of different means.
You can take a wise aproach that requires you to be carefull, accurate, calculating and above all sniedy Laughing .

Or another methodology I'm rather fond of is making yourself such a pain in the arse/ lunatic that even if the authorities want to chase after you they'll have to think hard about how to do it without you putting everyone in grave danger Twisted Evil

...and that works, for exapmle taunting marked patrol cars on the motorbike.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only way we will stop this surveillance society and all the other oppresive acts of this corrupt and morally bankrupt government is to take to the streets and start burning our major cities. It worked with the poll tax riots and it would work again, despite the anti-terror laws. The problem is having enough clever and committed people to organise the civil unrest, and getting the great unwashed to get off their fat arses, putting down their Wiis and tv remotes and actually do something.
