Hi,

My mate has a zzr250 which we are both trying to get back together after a head gasket went, only problem is, he can't remember how the cams came off! oops.

I set the engine to T1 by looking through the peep hole on the left side crank casing and set the cams to IN and EX and everytime we crank over the engine via the crank, it jams up after a couple of turns. Any ideas?

My mate is starting to pull his hair out.

Regards

Richard

https://www.zzr-international.co.uk and head for the forums Thumbs Up

Wonder if you have got it 180 out and its the valves that are hitting the pistons.....
Other than that it could just be the compression stopping it, but doub't that.

Could be worthwhile taking the head off again and see if they have, could have bent them.....
