Bent forks

Have you considered a TDM?

I have 2 bikes now with bent forks, I'm wondering if they can be straightened. Both are bent just under the bottom yoke.

Personally I wouldn't bother. It doesn't cost much more to get pattern replacements.

As above, you can, however I usually just keep an eye on ebay.
Can often buy a pair of complete straight forks for less; then sell the bent ones for a little too usually!

It's a little hard as TDM parts neevr seem to come up on ebay the don't are to old to crash them I think! the speed four is not so hard to get parts for, as mosh triumph RWU forks fit

I got TT600 stanchions from ABE and they were very good. Thumbs Up Smile

Hi

You should be able to get someone to straighten them for you for a lot less than a pair of replacement stanchions. But it depends on how bent they are and whether the legs have creased.

Thanks marjay, how much they set you back? need some for um... well any bike i own cos i bend them instantly Embarassed I deffo need prep the FZR for sale now as steve wants it.

Was about £80 I think, but much cheaper than Triumph ones...

The Speed Four forks are the same as the TT600 so all should be cool. excellent Very Happy
