Given the recent 'issues' we've had with companies getting bad press on BCF, I thought I'd just post to say how great TrackTimePromotions were this past weekend.
We (myself, Luke and MarJay) were already at Cadwell when we heard about the accident, so we just dumped the trailer with the 3 bikes still on it and a load of things out of the car and legged it back along the road - Danny rang up TrackTimePromotions for us and they kept an eye on the trailer and took all our bits into their office so they were safe overnight. Wasn't high up on our priority list at the time, but it's one thing off your mind.
They've also been kind enough to give each of the riders who weren't running a 50% credit on the next trackday we book, which is great cos they are completely not obliged to do so, and with 5 riders dropping out of an already not-that-busy day, they weren't exactly running a huge profit.
Biggup to Hawk Bike Hire too - this was the guy that Ste was hiring a CBR from. We gave him some cash to cover his fuel expenses for bringing the bike all the way down from some place I can't remember the name of now, but according to Phil @ TrackTime this morning, Hawk have put that as a credit towards the next hiring as well.

Yeah and they were so nice to us when we went to collect our gear.
I'm not personally bothered about the money but it was a lovely gesture on their part. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade

Just want to say that the guy who seemed to be heading the trackday had said to us that they were currently looking into how they could help you guys that couldn't make it. He said that they were unable to 'promise' anything but given the circumstances he was sure they could sort something out.
As Bendy said the day still had plenty of spaces left (there had been another group involved in a car accident I was told ). Due to the low numbers in the groups they decided to put the group number down to two as experienced and novices, this meant that we got longer sessions and less wait between sessions. This also meant that I was absolutely knackered and feeling older than normal. In fact we were so knackered that Mike and myself decided to not even bother with the final session of the day, that was until we noticed the only person from Novices that had bothered to line up was Nige, so we joined in too. In the final session there was only 5 of us out I think.
Anyway a big to tracktime promotions. ____________________ "Unlike public school you don't need to have your arse up and your head down to go a long way...." |
