Alarm location?

Two places i can put my newly aquired alarm, no faring for it to nestle behind, i was thinking either on the right hand side next to the air box or under the seat, from a security point of view where would be the better choice?
Thing is under the seat is the tool box (though i usually take better ones with me on longer trips) but lots of mounting points, under the side panel there is plenty space, but nowhere to mount it, unless i gaffer tape it on which is hardly the most graceful solution i'd rather do it properly and securely (i could probably do it with a series of cable ties and have it fairly secure then tape it)...
I'm running out of space for gadgety things

I've got a datatool system III and it fitted snugly in the underseat side panel fairing. Attached with a couple of stickier than sticky the stick insects foot after he's stepped in a packet of Juicy Fruit double sided sticky pads and some cable ties and it's been fine.

I would say that's one of the better places to put it, especially if you can get a seat trigger with the alarm as there's no way of disarming it without it going off (unless you're a super criminal obviously!).

Just temporarily fitted it, its currently under the seat till i can find some of those mega stupidly sticky adhesive pad things (anyone have any suggestions as to where to look?).

Its a good alarm (for the money i payed at least)

Shock sensor
Tilt sensor
Current change sensor

I'm not under the impression it will stop it getting nicked but it will let me know so I can stop it getting nicked (sharpens pointy stick)...
I mean i was fitting it a bit ago and it went off for quite a bit (testing) must have seen 6 people walk past didn't even look

Its not the sort of bike any normal person would put an alarm on, if somebody trys moving or bumping it then it will go off, then they will have to face pointy stick doom.
