Traffic Cops BBC1 09.30

...."documentary reveals how motorbike riders are able to avoid detection and bring death and destruction upon others"

No bias there, that's OK then.

Look forwards to watching that. See how tainted the Beeb's view of bikers really is and if / how they want to glorify the traffic coppers.

Well I'm poised, it better not be animals under cover though.

Could 'motorbike riders avoiding detection' be the same thing though?

I got one tip, about the motorway speeding, it said the copper can get your speed providing he can keep you in sight. As in oh theres a nice truck to dive behind/in front of. Also the camera van, a bit of weaving through lanes should stop him from being able to fix the camera on you.

Well the best way of getting away with speeding is....wait for it.....not speeding in the first place! Other options would be to ride with no number plate and only speed past cameras that face you.

Oh I agree Shaun but that is the sarcy answer the police always repspond with. It was interesting to see that the robbery van, er sorry safety camera van did not have any real visible markings on the side of the van which faced the traffic. The idea is not to catch people but to educate, yeh right!

Hi

Watched that. Saw they claimed a 1200 Bandit would do 165mph (I wish), when 140 would be closer to the truth. I would like to know where the drum brakes are to fit the brake shoes as I have only changed the brake pads on mine over the last 45000 miles.

They also admitted that they have had a large rise in the number of deaths despite going mad with cameras. They trotted out the standard lie that the police do not get any of the money from the fines (technically true, it just means that the scamera partnership pay for things the police would otherwise have to pay for).

All the best

Keith

WTF! Bandit capable of doing 165? Dreamers! Not picking or anything, but it was a Bandit 6 wasn't it? And what a nobber, riding pissed and stoned - with a pillion.

Idiots like that don't deserve to get a licence......they are taking up too much space on the waiting lists meaning I can't do my test till May!
