How to stop my glasses steaming up in my helmet?

Hey, having trouble keeping my glasses from steaming up inside my helmet, not sure what i can do apart from stop breathing!

They were fine when i bought the lid but now i dont know why its happening!

Any tips from other glasses wearers ?

Try rubbing spit onto them all over the lense and let it dry. Should help!

I've used Fog Tech on the inside of my visor and it also works on the specs. Also, that red crayon type stuff which you only ever see at bike shows, works very well.

Or you can get rainaway spray like u get for the visor,
and that usually stops steaming up as well.
or just keep your visor open a tiny bit.

Could do with the rain stuff on my visor, first ride in the rain was hell today!

Do they look alright or are there any paticular brands ?

Rubbing potatoe peelings on them should do the trick.

Although you'll wnt to have glasses for riding in particular, as I do.

A Respro foggy mask will deflect your breath downwards and Bob Heath visor spray will stop your glasses steaming up. You can use them in combination for best results or try the spray first (as it's the cheapest option) and then get a foggy. Be aware though, if your glasses have any sort of coating (anti-reflective/anti-scratch etc...) then the visor spray won't adhere and do it's job.

For keeping rain off the outside of the visor try Rain-X wipes

They do haave anti glare and scratch coating on so i think id have to give the liquids a miss, however i like the look of the foggys !

Do they just velcro in and leave them there ?

Also how is it with glasses on as the foggy covers your nose ?

Not have any problems with specs steaming up. Visor does inside sometimes when the bob heath stuff wears off.

Main thing is to make sure you keep the water off your face and inside the helmet.
Don't lift the visor fully up, just cracked a bit to allow air to get in.

Just don't spray owt on lenses with any sort of coating on them. Any Anti reflection coating has hydroscoptic properties to make water bead up and disapate.

I'm not sure how the foggy would work with glasses, mine took a while to get fitted right but when it was set it was perfect. You have 3 velcro stickies and the mask has 3 velcro bits, Throw the 2 side stickies away and just place the velcro between the strap and the inside of the helmet.

Try contact lenses. Better field of vision, objects appear at their true distance and they don't fog up. Thumbs Up

+1 for contact lenses, absolutely fantastic on a bike a million times better than glasses and less risk of them penetrating your skull in a crash aswell, which is always a bonus Thumbs Up
