How to trace a lost bike?

About 25 years ago, my dad had an old CZ 125. (I think it was a Jawa?) Not really sure, he can't remember.

My mum discovered in a load of paper work today, that we still have the V5 for it! My dad left it at a family members house, and never went back for it. They subsequently got rid of it. Thing is, my dad never actually "sold" it, or filled out the V5C to change the regisered keeper. So technically, the bike is still his.

It's probably a pile of scrap by now, but how would i go about finding out about it? I know you can request info from the DVLA for a couple of quid, but for all the looking i've done, i can't find anything useful.

The registration was UJU 809S, and it was gold in colour.

I would say it probably became a field bike for whoever found it. The chances of finding it are very very slim.

CZ and Jawa are different makes. I doubt the bike is in circulation now, though it's always possible. Start by doing a search on the gov't vehicle tax website.
