Just the same as any other 1litre inline 4 sports bike, some of us are not scared to get out of first though. Mr. Green

Had a go on a VTR Firestorm 1k the other day, after only having ever been on a four stroke 50cc and 125cc. Blew my head off, roll on my R6 in a couple of years Very Happy

Only ever ridden a really old R1, think it was about a 1998. Was the slackest, cheapest finished most horrible sportsbike I've had the pleasure to ride. Also had a terrible gearbox and lumpy brakes. Im guessing it was just that particular bike but it done enough to put me off yamahas. Don't get me wrong, it was fair quick though.

I agree with Rotax, I liked my 636 better too Very Happy

Not yet had a go on a big CC twin though Mad

i found them a bit... lazy, sort of '4th gear everywhere' type thing
i'm used to a fiery top end and a buzzing gearbox Cool

Shit mate your doomed, you might have offended the god that is the 98 R1, may your leathers forever be damp and sweaty and your clutch hand suffer cramp. Laughing
