Honda VTR 250

140kg V twin with 32bhp

IMO this blows away any of these modem 250 bikes that are coming out, if I wanted a 4t 250 as an A2 bike this would be it.

It looks like a baby Monster. They should have made the bigger VTR naked.

There are loads of them over here, as they qualify as learner approved motoribikes without any restrictions. Sound pretty good too.

But yes, I see your point.

I had a VT250, and it was a fantastic little bike. Very complicated engine but by heck did it shift for such a small capacity (it could hold 90mph on the flat). Only available as a grey import as were many 250's. I think that's the reason, the capacity just wasn't pushed over here - probably because of our legacy of larger-displacement brit bikes.

The 250 market pretty much died out when the learners laws changed donkeys years ago.

Very goose like, always quite liked the idea of them - but when it only makes a little more power than a derestricted 125 smoker, not a lot were going to bother before restriction came in.
