Hi,

I've just realised how bad the rear shock is and i've had the bike 2 years from new. I've read about it being bad, but I had no reference point, because my other bikes were old and worse.

I've just bought a new ER6n for my commute and where my Z would be bouncing over a poor road surface, it just glides over it. It sort of amazing.

Going over a man hole cover on the Z causes a reaction, whereas on the ER6, I don't feel it. I can hit speed bumps at 30mph, no problems.

Without wanting to spends hundreds of pounds on a Ohlins rear shock or equivalent , has anyone done something on the cheap, which could fix the Z's shock. Other than that I love my Z .

When RiDE did last years rider power survey thing the Zs suspension was rated as the worst, so they spruced it up and did a test, I dont think they replaced the rear shock, just had it revalved and changed some internals. I remember that they listed a price and details of how to get it done though. I can give you the information after this weekend if nobody else has before (dont have the issue here atm)

I read this they sent it to maxon I think, It cost £330 or a new shock and new fork inturnals. They said it was the best money ever spent on a bike. It was the ride power survey issue. I remember this because in the same catagory the Speed Four came top (Suspention and handling).
