Got this 3 weeks ago, done nearly 500 miles on it already, and am loving it, feels like a hooligan everywhere...throttle whack right round to the stop everywhere then burying the front at every corner.

Back roads which were previously un-rideable at any sort of speed on the R6 are now my own private race tracks with hardly any traffic!

Basically, I'm loving it!

Anyone unfamiliar with it - it's powered by a 660cc Single, from the XT660. Kicks out abut 48bhp, but about 56ft of tourqe.

Managed 106mph indicated on my speedo on a looong straight with chin on tank. But it's all about the acceleration...and it does that job all the way up to 80 very well!

Never wheelied before, and am already starting to pop the front wheel up on the power in first gear, it's too easy Thumbs Up

Power delivery is nice, all the power is right on the start of the throttle, it actually goes faster being short shifted. Riding position is really good, comfortable and gives a good view of the road.

Wide bars make turning very easy, and it just feels really nice to ride.

Pillion also loves it, says it feels really smooth and it is comfy!

All I need now is some cans! Twisted Evil

And Matt - it is great, the tyres don't seem too bad, I'm gonna use these over the winter, then throw some decent ones on for the summer!

Am trying, don't want to spend near £600 on the Akras from Yamaha.

Mivv and Remus do some aswell, but they are near £600 aswell, and thats only the cans, not full systems.

Apparently SDC in Stevenage can make custom exhausts so I will be trying to contact them!

If weathers still good we should try and get out for a ride before winter arrives!

I can vouch for the akras, Matt06 has some fitted and they sound awesome.

Fairly quiet at idle, but growl nicley when he pulls off, nice and loud, and backfire well on the overrun too. Laughing

Cheers
John

Like that, wouldn't mind one actually. Bit too quick as an upgrade for my CG though.

I would reccomend it if/when you get tired of the CG, it's had much the same effect on me as your CG did to you - I'm now out every night exploring all the little villages and nice sights, and loving the empty back roads! It's totally happy on even the worse roads, gravel doesn't seem to bother it too much, especially compared to the R6.....

But you can still hoon pretty well when you want to!

It's a road bike, I tried hooning over a speed bump....wasn't too bad, but didn't feel too good either! It's soft enough for the road, and bumpy roads, but hard enough not to dive into every corner.

Although it does feel good yanking open the throttle and the back sits down a fair bit!

Thumbs Up I had one for a day, as a courtesy bike, I'd never ridden one before, and I normally ride a Fazer Thousand.

I very quickly learned that changing down through the gears instead of using the brakes, wasn't for me. Laughing

I had to resist an urge to stick my leg out when I first conrnered too. Rode it on some back roads, and it was damned good fun. Cool

Did have the throttle cracked wide open on a straight bit, and got to about 90 before I ran out of road.

Bought some arrows and pulled the baffles out...

Rode round for a while, did the next sensible thing and bought som ear plugs....

This is the loudest thing I have ever ridden, it is amazing. When it backfires, it sounds like WW3 has started. I've got a video just going up on youtube so you can hear what it sounds like...the video makes it seem quiet though....so turn volume maximum to get an idea
