Bought the same spark plug but the bit where the HT lead goes over is different.

Help?

Was I meant to ask for a different type?

Thumbs Up

The nipple screws off, grab it with a pair of pliers.

Can anyone explain the benefit of using a plug with a resistor (I.E a BR8ES instead of a B8ES) same with red and black plug caps.

unscrew the silver bit on the top.

The little O ring around the threads compresses when you put the plug in.

And next time you take a photo of a part, try on a plain background rather than a fast bikes magazine...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Depends on if it is a resistor plug cap and whether you care about interference.

All the best

Also... I have a spare BR9EIX. Will I gain any benefit from using this over a BR8ES?

Cheers Thumbs Up

If I remember correctly, the R shows whether it has a resistor or not, and the 9 is the heat at which it burns. I was told 8 is the best for RS50 engines.

Changed the plug caps on a TZ750 and i stopped sparking with the red caps on (obviously with the corresponding nipples)

Any reason why? Confused

Hi

Some ignition systems can be prone to being fried from swapping from one type to another. Hope on a TZ you haven't done that.

Beyond that no other ideas.

All the best

Keith
