Was out teaching my bro how to drive when I saw something in the road.

Looked like a lump in the road.

As we went past I was like Shocked

"That was a turtle! Stop the damn car and go get it"

My bro had never done a 3 point turn and he done one perfectly to save/kidnap a turtle/tortoise.

Laughing

Any ways here he is.

Outrageous!! Guessing your bro doesn't need his eyes testing!

Fantastic find - they're worth a bomb these days! I wanted one for my birthday but they're several hundred pound for really ickle ones that have to be kept in vivariums!

I guess the proper thing to do would be report it. Certainly make sure you take good care of the little fella! Very Happy

From looking at the bottom of his shell i can confirm from the burn marks that someone has tried to cook him and he must be one of the tasty ones.

Completely professional diagnoses of course.

my mum has one just like that, cost her 150 quid, pretty boring creature really, just sits in a heat tank thing looking dead most of the time,

i think its funny that if they get knocked on their backs they are fucked, they cant turn over, they would probably just die, imagine that! laying on your back and not being able to do shit about it!

that last pic- its face kinda resembles the front of my b1h!

That sir, is a tortoise, not a turtle.
Turtles have webbed feet, and spend most of their time in the water.

I often wonder if some people stayed awake in biology class.

Hmmm. Interesting. I never knew there was such a thing as a 'terrestrial turtle'.
Just goes to show, one is never too old to learn.

PS- I take that back about sleeping in biology class. Embarassed

Just to upset you (purely because of your last point)...

The difference between a turtle, tortoise and terrapin is totally abitrary. They're all chelonids/testudines (depending on your education), and turtle=marine, tortoise=land and terrapin=freshwater.
Thats it. In yankyville they're pretty much all called Turtles.
Only real big division between the turtles are the 'normal' (Cryptodira) and 'side necked' (Pleurodira), based on the way their neck hinges.

Oh also, just to depress you, the difference between Frogs/Toads and Newts/Salamanders is also as arbitrary. There is fuck all difference parse, just by human criteria we can say 'toad... frog... toad' etc, in that case it would usually be habitat and leg length.

Richard (Did pay attention in biology classes Wink)
