Well i took the plunge and bought a ybr125 it will be here in 2 weeks for the sum of £1695 new which i thought was a good price also got my helmet a shoei multitec as it was only that or th3e nolan that would fit my big head  cbt is next sat morning so i will be whizzing to work and all around fairly soon.
They had a ybr custom in today but they were another 300 so too much i said as i want to do my test after xmas and save my pennies for a bigger bike later.
Any how thnx for all the advice ive got in my few posts here.

YBR's are a solid bike, it will do you good to learn on one.
And as for the Shoei MultiTec, you just skipped all the junk and picked yourself a nice lid. |

Yeah they are a good bike to get to grips on, especially in nasty weather/ice as they are so light.
Not too expensive to repair if you do have drops and U-turns and tight maneuvers are a piece of cake.
Good choice and enjoy your CBT.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about your cbt, its more of a lesson that anything else. Just relax and enjoy it, your instructor will talk you through anything you need to do.

Mind you the resell value wasn't bad when I got mine. I bought mine for 1600 OTR when they first came out in 2005. I sold it a year later with 10,000 miles and a first service for a grand.
It was an added piece of mind for me as at the time I wasn't too experienced with bikes so didn't want to get stuck with any strange problems.
