Lights problem, flickering

The headlights on my TZR do what they want

When I brake, they get brighter, when i rev they get dimmer and when i indicate they just get dimmer and brighter in time with the flashing.

The battery is ok as I have just replaced it and fully charged it. This improved the situation a bit but still pretty distracting for other drivers (and me when I open the throttle out of a bend and the lights dim so I cant see where i'm going!)

Hi

Check the circuit from the "alternator" to the regulator / rectifier unit, and from there to the battery. Check the connections are tight and also check that none of the connections are corroded / broken (it is quite easy for the connections to be broken but appear OK at a glance).

It does sound to me as though the regulator / rectifier unit is gone though. As the revs go up the ignition system needs more power, and without the bike charging up it lands up taking the power from the lights.
