 |
|
Posted this on SE forum and not much interest.
Still not sure if I'll be able to get there or not. Anyone else interested, anyway?
Have talked about going to Enduroland in the past but never got around to it.
It’s seems to be one of the best enduro-practice style things in the UK without actually doing an Enduro. It should have a decent range of different riding conditions situations with some really tricky stuff that you should be able to avoid if you’re not brave enough.
It’s near towcester, so a little past Silverstone.
The following are some photos cheekily stolen from someone on advrider:
They are having a special ‘Endurofest’ on the weekend at the end of this month; so rather than a single day’s riding (2 x 3 hour), there will be two days of that as well as a variety of other activities (bike try-out, rage-buggy passenger rides, quad-trek, stalls and the like).
Hopefully I should definitely go along for at least one day, not sure whether to take advantage of their ‘free camping’ offer and make a weekend of it. There’s various undoubtedly poor ‘entertainment’ on the Saturday night, as well as a bar.
https://www.endurofest.co.uk/
The track it’s self I suspect is likely to have some quite fast people on; providing you’re happy to have people flying past on the wider bits and occasionally pulling aside on the slower bits to let them past, it shouldn’t be a problem.
It’ll either be £35 for a day, or £55 for the weekend, presuming you’re not a member of their ‘club’.
Anyone else up for going to this? |

Sorry, meant to your post yesterday.
First off, while they say it's great for novices, I'm not quite sure what they mean. Doubt there will be bikes available for proper riding around the main track apart from the 'demo' bikes.
If you're going tomorrow, bendy mentioned I could borrow her bike (she has some trust in my bikes working and staying in one piece, obviously), so if you wanted a play on one of the bikes we have there, I'm sure that could be arranged.
However, I'm not sure this is the best situation; it might be fine for a novice, but I don't know how tight the track is; if it's tight there may be people coming past at some speed.
However they might have some 'mess about' fields too, I don't know.
On the 'prebooked' thing; I called up and it's fine, they just wanted to do that beforehand to gauge interest, to make sure it was worthwhile doing. So you can turn up with out emails etc.
Give me a shout if you are going to go tomorrow and I'll drop you my number. |

Big sorry to BMW Wollaston for breaking their bike, and thanks for keeping mine safe.
Big thanks also to the ambulance crew, northampton A&E and MK hospital. |
