Has anybody played this?

I am looking for a game I can really spend some time with (other than WOW) now I have some time on my hands.

I notice they have just released an Ultimate Edition too.

Never heard of it personally but you shouldn't have any time on your hands if you play WoW

Yeah I located a copy after seeing at the local game shop.

Looked ok on the shelf but was quite disappointed when it came to playing it.

Seemed quite restrictive it's game play and very linear. That is you pretty much get told where to go and what to do.
I've only played it for a few hours and not sure if the game play opens up more later so it might be worth more time.

Still I'm not in a hurry to go back to it tbh.

It's like a blend of Neverwinter nights and Diablo.

Unfortunately its also a bit rubbish. I haven't tried the enhanced version but the original's plot line flowed about as smoothly as white water rapids, the cutscenes were terrible wastes of time with characters waffling along whilst playing completely unrelated and generic animations and whilst the gameplay did show a bit of potential, it just didn't seem to reward doing anything more than walking up to stuff and button mashing in time.

Mass Effect or Neverwinter Nights 2 and it's expansion are a good place to start if you fancy a proper deep PC rpg.

If you want a decent hack and slash and can be bothered to get it working, Nox is well worth digging up. For something a bit more uptodate, Space Siege might be worth a go.
