I've only had 1 slightly troublesome bike out of the 15 or 16 I've owned. And that was only troublesome after I sold it and tizer killed it. Razz

Do you actually look the bike over before buying? Laughing

I've only ever had a serious issue with one bike and that was one that I bought pre crashed. The other minor niggles have been either due to me breaking something or normal wear and tear.

I've never totally blown a bike up apart from my RGV250 track bike.

what kind of noise is it making?
piston failure will make a very different sound to a cam chain or a leg out of bed.
