Quicky,

can you get 33bhp kits for the modern bikes such as the 03 kwak zx6 and Honda CBR6RR, or am I right in thinking any injected bike does not have a kit available?

Cheers.
Cougs.

(not for me by the way)

Yup no problems, check here https://www.fiinternational.com/ even though they are the biggest rip off after insurance!! £140 for the kit, no matter what kind it is!!!

The one for my CB400SF was 4 washers... 140 quid, 4 washers. Takes the piss! (Oh then you have to pay to get them fitted too..)

Think of it this way. £140 is fuck all compared to what bike you're riding on the road, if restrictors weren't available you'd all be riding bikes that made a geniune 33bhp maximum. You think that £140 is to cover the cost of the 4 washers? How much research and fiddling do you think has needed to be done to get the kit spot on to 33bhp? A lot.

good point, and as for the rev limiters? stick a bike on a dyno and you can easily figure out where you need to limit the revs.. and a dyno run costs what, less than 50 quid, pass on this cost to every bike and tell me 140 still isn't a bit of an OTT markup.

Mind you, if you get your restrictor while you buy your bike try and get a deal with the seller if it's not private. The guy that sold me my bike went halves with me on the kit and fitted it for free!

Obviously the cost of research and everything is gonna be nowhere near £140, a lot of it is what we call profit. Most of the work is making sure the bike will run okay with the restrictors in and how to construct the restrictors themselves, it all costs time and money, and who cares to be honest, £140 to ride whatever bike you want is hardly gonna break the bank is it.

To be fair,

they have to make a profit, and tell me that if you had found a niche market you wouldnt charge as much as you could get away with?

The simple matter is it lets me ride bikes I wouldnt not be usually able to ride!

So anyway are there kits available for 03 sports 600's etc?
Cheers.
Cougs.
