whilst constantly riding through London, I have seen riders with some far superior bar muffs compared to your bog standard universal muffs that collapse onto you brake lever, does anyone have any idea who makes or sells them? I have spent hours trying to find them online and just end up with the same sites selling the same tat. Please can anyone help! Sad

My OH makes ours out of old sheepskin coats and/or rugs, nice warm furry lining, waterproofed on the outside with waxoyl and so light that even at over 100mph Shifty they have not impacted on the operation of the levers.

He went one better on his old XS500, he rigged up a device which blew hot air from the engine into the muffs via plastic flexible (vaccuum cleaner) hose, unfortunately that bike was unique in having somewhere on the engine to be able to "scoop" the warm air in, he is still trying with our current winter bikes though and no doubt will fix something up eventually!

I got some bog standard ones off ebay last year that collapsed onto the clutch leaver - I ended up making a arc out of a wire coat hanger that attached at one end to the bars and the other end around my bar end weight. Keeps it off fine now.
