Nice to have some more people from round this way on here
If you're from Crediton, I take it you know Treen's Garage? Proper ye olde bike shoppe that place. Also, the A3072 from Crediton towards Tiverton is a fantastic road. ____________________ Chris

about that wrong decision...
didnt now what to do in life, everything seems to be booring.
I had a cars since 18, i was modyfing them as well but after time it felt booring. And i was just wondering on net, some pics of new 125cc yamaha that is comming out in summer. So i was just waiting and dreaming about having a bike, and learn to ride. I was reading every motorcycle magazine, all the forums, how to start, reading about the freedome and i felt in love. Then i decided to go for it and buy it. Wrong decision because of the L plate? Dont botther what so ever. I want to learn to ride a motorcycle, not to look fasionable or "in". I love feeling of driving, even if there is L sticker on the front and back. I m proud of my self that i actually decided to do it, and i love every minute of it. It in my hearth, and i want to keep it that way. When i am driving I am the happiest person on earth. ____________________ <<<PIGGER)) >>>

Nah, I think he meant that you're at an age where you could do your test and buy a bigger bike. And buying such an expensive new 125 (at a time when your more likely to drop it) is risky and potentially very costly...
However...who gives a fcuk! I reckon you do what you want in life. Everyone's got an opinion, and we're constantly being told what to do, what we should buy, look like, blah blah blah...so...you like it, good for you |

yeah as nice as your 125 is, i cant help but think a £500 das / £2000 R6 / £500 insurance would have been more fun! ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s

Eh, fair play to the guy imho, I went down the DAS > Big bike route and as a result I think I've missed out on plenty lessons I'd have learnt from a decent amount of time on a lighter and less fragile bike. Not to mention that doing a CBT is a ton less hassle than a DAS right now.
Hope to see you on an SW group ride sometime soon Petko, enjoy that bike and be sure to look after it through the winter!
*edit* Oh, its worth me adding, the southwest bikers board has a friendly rideout coming up in November, well worth tagging along. ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

Welcome to the forum. I found the time I spent on my 125 was invaluable, I wouldn't have wanted to hit the road straight after a DAS pass on a bigger bike with no experience. Go down the 125 route until you outgrow it naturally, everyone's learning curve is different, you don't do yourself any favours by forcing it. ____________________ Current bike:- Suzuki GS500 '02 plate. Next bike CBR600F or GSX650F. I'll leave the race reps to the kids.
