Hello, Im turning 17 soon, and I want advice on buying a new bike, as currently, im using a crappy 50 scooter.

I'm about 5'9/6'0, and weigh 13 stone, so no small bikes.
I don't want a 2 stroke, I'd like something that is quite reliable and economic.
No trials bikes or scooters.
And, it has to reasonably fast for a 125 4-stroke, about 70 mph?

Currently, i have been looking at the Yamaha ybr 125 custom, or, the Honda cbr (might be too small)

Any advice guys?

cheers

CG125, CBR125, any of them. Don't buy new as you WILL drop it and destroy its value very quickly. Plus you may become bored and decide to do your test, in which case you need something you aren't going to lose loads on when you sell it.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

CG125 ftw. nothing to break, holds value like no-ones business and is good for getting around cities on i.e. filtering tight spots. Thumbs Up
