Hi,

I am totally fed up about listening to one days headlines saying the financial markets have crashed talking for a full 25 mins, followed by the next day saying biggest gains ever. (No UK news at all, hasn't anything happend?)

And when that's over, some wish wash about american elections, I don't even know who the irish/scottish/welsh/swedish/spanish/norweigan/finnish/danish premiers are (I know the little french guy and thats about it) so why would I care about american ones.

Try your local news?

You will not find on national news corporation that won't be covering the credit crunch or the American election, because funnily enough one of the events directly effects you in the long term.

Just stop watching the news altogether. It's all sensationalist shite, each channel trying to out scoop each other.

The Daily Sport provides gash news of a somewhat different variety (so im led to believe).

You could always buy The Sun if you give a shit about what Posh Spices haircut is today, or how Jade goodys' non-existant cervical cancer is shaping up lately with further information about when her book detailing her 'struggle' will be out.

Stick with the Metro mate, only one or two serious articles and the rest can be mildly amusing, you'll laugh until your sides split, or until you've finished your shit, whichever comes first.....

Thing is, most of the media controls the western world now anyway. The BBC have singlehandedly talked us into a recession, first off by telling us that 'we're on the brink of massive house price falls', then the mortgage crisis, then this 'credit crunch' and so on ad fucking nausium. That bloke from Dragon's Den apparently got it right the other morning and pointed a finger right where it needed to be (albeit it should have been a fist, and punched hard into Sian's face, but hey...) but unfortunately I missed it.

The register is primarily filled with tech news and privacy news , so is slashdot.org

but they too dip into politics...

Hahahahahahaaaaaaa

Are you for real ? the UK has been in recession for 10 years, and the BBC has been most moderate in saying its not a crash or they say they are growing most slowly for x years.

consider this formula

Debt does NOT equal wealth...

and GDP has stood still since 1996.

Sure its got nothing to do with the fact we don't produce anything anymore, folks like my excolleagues on 10K a year buying 250K houses lying on loans...

The fact that the government won't control inflation..
