Was after a cheap car and bike as winter runabouts.
Found a P reg mazda 121 (mk4 fiesta) with tax and test for £120 on ebay:

Not the greatest of motors, but for that price it cant be bad Laughing It's got power steering aswell which is allways a good thing Smile
All it needs is a rocker cover gasket and an air filter (which cost £5 quid for both)

Then went up to scotland tonight to pick this up from a member on here (advertised in the for sale section of bcf):

GS500 EV with loads of tax & test (vmaxdude=you missed a good little bike Very Happy )
Got this for £300 quid.Needs the exhaust sorting out,but a bit of tig welding will sort that.
Oh and it needs a fork seal changed, but jim give me 2 new ones with the bike Thumbs Up (cheers jim, bike's great!)

Gonna take a few close up pics tomorrow of it,then do a bit of a how to guide to changing the fork seal..
Then before and after pics after it's had a really good clean Very Happy

(was gonna show the £40 quid scooter i bought aswell but decided i better not,no one likes scooters Laughing )No offence to scooter riders,[lying] i quite like them[/lying]

That's it for tonight.

The ebay auction
Just goes to show there is still bargains to be had on ebay Laughing
I think it's the fact that he confused the rocker cover gasket with the head gasket, which is what would have put some people off.
(i bought it expecting to have to do the head gasket)

Thumbs Up

Is the gs exhaust system on yours not 1 piece?

Mine is supposed to be i think, but it's snapped in half about half an inch after where the 2 pipes turn to 1.(getting welded by my uncle tomorow.)
Unless it was a 2 piece system, but someone made a mess af trying to weld it once before Laughing *dunno*

Nah two parts. The downpipes stop just by the rear brake lever. Then it's link pipe+can from there backwards.

They rot fairly easily though. £250 gets you a brand new full system that looks pretty tasty too.

My standard one is 1 peice, I'm selling it. It did have light surface rust but I sanded it down and polished up the plate. I also have Genuine suzuki gaskets. It is completely solid and has a new coat of heat proof paint.

Not a great pic but,

£70 pick up, I'm not sure about postage as I have no idea how I would pack it. That includes the gaskets, I bought the gaskets and the paint to refresh the exhaust for my bike then the bike blew up. If you need any other gs parts you can have them cheap, I have f+r wheels with good bt45s you can have for £50 I think the tires have 2k miles on them and cost about £150

Ford own Mazda. Mazda needed a cheap way of knocking out a small car, so they just rebadged the Fiesta.

All the best

Cool

The trailer is an awesome piece of kit.
The bloke we got it off made a chequered (gash plate) steel ramp and the wooden bit on top of that in the pic so you can walk up the side of it.It also has bigger wheels than standard, aswell as the left side of the trailer plated so you can walk on it to get the bike right the way on.(only takes one person to load a bike on.)

Was an absolute bargain at only £250 quid Thumbs Up
