Am in in the wrong?

Right, theres this roundabout near my work and i have to go through it every day. 4 days out of 5, when im on the outside lane travelling straight ahead (2nd exit) to go into the left hand lane, nearly every f*ckin time, a car will go on the right hand lane of the road, enter the roundabout on the inside lane and then on the last moment, pull into my lane and then continue straight ahead (2nd exit) into the left hand lane of the exit road.

Luckily im used to it by now, and always take it slow, and have my horn ready. But it happens so often, that its almost like im doing something wrong Confused

Am i?

i have pretty much the exact same scenario on my way to work also and yes i would say you were in the right there(not literally). tbh i even do it myself from time to time as the lane the car was in in your pic is not usually backed up in my case so its quicker to cheat a bit.

You are in the right and the car has changed lanes but being right doesn't stop you getting a broken leg so ride defensively and assume that every car will cut-lanes.

Personally, I would be on the right side of the nearside lane and keep an eye out for cagers on the left. You just know that they will be in the left lane but going all the way round, mobile at the ear, a screaming kid in the back and will be a blond wearing sunglasses Shocked

All three routes can be correct depending on the traffic.
The driver if taking the second exit but using the right hand lane should stay in the right hand lane if you are in the left. if you have taken the first exit then he should move to the left hand lane while exiting the R/B.
The driver has not properly done his observations, probably only used his external mirrors if at all and not his interior mirror also.
