I've just played the 'flashback' section of metal gear 4 where you replay a small section of the original metal and I can't believe how bad the graphics were back then! Laughing

I remember being well impressed with metal gear when I played it and now I'm confused as to how the hell I managed to play it.

Games have come on such a long way over the years! I just wish I could replay the old metal gears but with updated graphics.

That bit is easy, don't let the guy you're following see you and make sure you tranq some patrolling troops. When you get to the bit where they're patrolling in a vehicle switch to your camo clothing and crawl along the pavement.

Then follows a big cut scene, then the motorbike section. Then a boss that takes fucking ages to kill.

Try the graphics on the ZX Spectrum games . . . . Now they are bad & I used to pay for them! Wink

You say that, but I think on non-3D games they still don't seem too bad. I can play Sonic 2 on MegaDrive and think the graphics are quite cool.

You get used to it! I regularly re-run through all the final fantasy and resident evil games and after an hour or so you forget about next-gen!!

I'm hoping they release the MGS series updated to MGS4 graphics. Like go back to the first ever MGS on NES, I actually remember owning it Laughing

Next MGS game is supposed to be a flashback game like number 3 was. Mr. Green

You think that's bad, I played the original Gran Turismo on my PS3. You could actually see it drawing the track and scenery in about 30 metres in front of the car! Laughing

You can get a remade metal gear solid on the gamecube (is wii backwards compatible?) called "The Twin Snakes".

Basically the same thing but with much improved graphics, and an added first person mode, so its now even easier than it was back then.

The one controversial point is they changed some of the voices and Mei Ling doesn't sound quite as good in the gamecube version.

well worthing picking it up though Thumbs Up
