hi just wondering if anyone can shed any ligth on this.

basically AOL doesnt like our webservers, user loses session data wehn browsing, returned to home... we fixed this on the 5th webshop so thats no longer an issue.

what is an issue is that the dns rule we set redirects to the 5th webshop, this works but we are still getting errors from AOL IPs that we know we have covered in the rules we set, we know this because we only have a few errors a day.

so when the rule doesnt work they go through the load balancer, from there redirected to 1-4 of the webshops where an error occurs..... so.. is there a way of setting a rule on the LB to redirect these IP ranges to the 5th server?

were using Barracuda 340 load balancers.

sorry for the long winded post lol

any help appreciated Smile

Chris

AOL Uk have joined up with another pants ISP, TalkTalk.

After working for TT for all of 4weeks b4 i told them to stick their shitty job gave them the fingers and told them to go fuck themselves cos they are a bunch of broadband nazis.

All of AOL's UK customer base now gets routed through TT servers and exchange MSANs, which isnt that good cos TT can handle their own customer base let alone another few hundred thousand.

AOL + TT = FAIL!!!!!!!!!1111oneeleventyseven.

Drop AOL asap and get a real ISP

Top Advice there. Rolling Eyes

So chrismeister needs to contact every user who tries to access the web servers and tell them to change isp. Laughing

hahah ive only been working inIT for about 3 months now and about everyone ive talked to have said AOL are terrible.

when we were talking about it the other day we though we could put a Load Balancer between the 5th server and the primary load balancer, then when thyey get chucked between servers during their session they will just get constantly redirected to 5....

Havent done this yet though, too busy lol.

thanks for your help
