Bandit not going anywhere

Hi changed my chain & sprockets yesterday, got bike out this morning put into gear let clutch out and the bike is revving but not going anywhere. Double checked all nuts tight, chain is correct tension. Had bike on centre stand went through geras all working fine chain turning back wheel as it should but as I said when I put bike down off stand and sit on it the bike wont go anywhere.

Any input would be welcomed.

Take it that it is going into gear and then just not moving forward.

Anything at the back sprocket or a snapped chain should be pretty obvious. So that suggests front sprocket or engine.

Front sprocket lives on splines and should be held in place with a nut (and quite possibly a tab washer). But this should again be obvious with a quick glance.

My best guess would be that somehow you have damaged or jammed the clutch pushrod, or possibly adjusted the cable / actuater on the sprocket cover, so that the clutch is disengaged.

Take off the front sprocket cover. Check the clutch pushrod is in place and straight. And adjust the clutch mechanism and then the cable again from scratch.

Thanks Keith, I am a spanner I put the washer behind the sprocket instead of in front of it.

Thats what happens when you work in the dark with a torchlight.

Bike is now working 100% again
