Hi all,

Is it worth putting an aftermarket exhaust on an NSR125?

I've seen Arrow do an exhaust but it's pricey for a 125, what benefits do you get if any apart from a better looking can ? Do they sound any better, produce an increase in power etc or is it just the big boys that benefit from aftermarket cans?

Thanks

The arrow does look and sound nicer. I've had someone bomb past me with the arrow system, and it sent a tremor down my spine. If you go for the full system, it will give you more HP, but you'll need to get it jetted otherwise the fuel mix will be wrong.

Don't bother.

The performance increase is basically insignificant if its already been derestricted. It will cost you a lot to get a tiny power increase, and the more you do to the bike, the more likely it is to break.

Save up your money, do your test, and if you want to go faster, buy a bigger bike. You'll get a much bigger performance increase for much less cash.

it will change the sound but it wont stop it from sounding like a noisey 125 two stroke, any way its a lovely sound that soon probably wont be heard as the emmisin laws get stricter with each passing year
