would you need to register it ?

would i be able to just buy some heap from a local breakers yard or scrap yard and use that ? or would that be illegal

also is it legal to tow a bike using another bike Laughing Laughing Laughing

Doesn't need to be legal to use in a field, but how would you get it to the field? And bike towing a bike... how?

So you want a field bike, but are then effectively asking us what a field bike is?

A field bike is a crappy bike (usually stolen at least once) that the local kids use to rag around a field. Usually totally illegally.

Does that answer your question?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Type field bike into eBay and have a look what they have. You don't have to road register it to ride in the fields, but you might need to in order to tow it there.

You can't ride anywhere you don't have permission to, I always make it written permission for security, and even then you can't ride on public footpaths in the fields or anything. And most of the tracks around here wouldn't let me ride my bike on them without doing quite a bit of work to it, and they were reluctant then.

But, if you can get a field, get the bike, and get it there, it's a really good laugh Thumbs Up

Tow rope on the back of the front bike, and round the forks of the bike that's being towed.

I towed a Honda H100 about 4 miles before melting a hole in the piston of the RS50 I was riding (taught me to look at the temp guage from time to time!) once you get going it's pretty easy - we had to go round a motorway roundabout and didn't find it too hard.

When I was on my Gamma 125 I was towed about 2 miles down the A6 by a CLR125, and the CLR didn't even start to struggle.

Towed a car for about the length of a car park using my 500, now that was fun Laughing
