I know this has been done many times but....

After my test (A2 = 33bhp) and about 10months of riding a CBR125 which will come to next may/june i want a new bike and prefer sports bikes. A 400cc would be great as its much better as a first big bike but they seem to be quite pricey to buy as well as insure so i was wondering is there much point as i could get an old ninja for about the same price.

What do you guys think?

Doesn't really matter powerwise as your not likely to use everything it has to offer and when you do get near that point you'll probably have a different bike again anyway. A ZX6R is likely to be more reliable and is a physically bigger bike.

I would hardly call a 400 a big bike. Laughing

I had a ZXR750 as my first bike (albeit I did the DAS and didn't need to restrict it) and have been bitten by the Kwak bug although the 6R has never really grabbed me for some reason.

Its still a very popular choice and more than capable of putting a huge grin on your face.

My budget for the bike should be about 2k. I like the 2000 shape the one with the twin headlights.
