Me and a mate decided to make the most of the evening sun that had been drying out the roads and went for a quick spin around some of the back roads behind our town. After getting a little bit lost in suburbia trying to find the road out we took a punt on a random road which luckily turned out to be the right one! My mate on his Cagiva Planet pulls into a layby for a smoke when this lady in a peugoet rolls in and then rolls halfway back out again and decides that her clutch has gone and can we push her back into the layby, bit random I thought but she was parked in the middle of the road so we could hardly refuse!

Anyhoo, I got the camera out in the layby for a bit of poke about:

And then walked up the road a bit to get a few pictures of Jim.

Then we headed on down the road a bit further where we saw the crazy clutch lady walking down the road, she didn't have a helmet or I'd of offered her a lift!

I was really enjoying following Jim on his 125 as although it's not really super slow (2T powah!) it meant I could really concentrate on being smooth and sussing out my lines properly and of course it's been a while since I've been able to sniff the old 2 stroke oil so that's always a bonus!

Anyhoo, I pulled ahead and took a few more pics of him riding about:

Then he decided to stop for another smoke, although this one was a lot gayer than the first one....

I spent most of my time looking the other way at the view though:

Has to be done:

While Jim was having his smoke we generally just talked about riding as he is quite a new rider only passing his CBT a few months ago and he was telling me he wasn't too confident on bends and he's been running wide occasionally with lapses of concentration so I told him to look where he wants to go and to just lean over as the bike will be ok 9 times out of 10 etc. Well off we went on our merry way with Jim leading and me just generally chilling out behind him when I realise he seems to be going into a corner too hot and lo and behold he ends up in a ditch!

Luckily he only rode into the ditch at about 5mph and kept his bike upright so there was no damage at all whatsoever fair play to him but it was a classic case of target fixation and my heart was in my mouth the whole time knowing there was nothing I could do about it! I've decided it really is one of the worst feelings watching your mates crash/nearly crash and I really don't want to have to see it again Sad

We'd pretty much lost the light by then and Jim's petrol light had come on so we rode down into Llanrwst and tanked up with fuel and had a pretty uneventful ride home apart from Jim's headlight seemingly only having the power of 1 candle!

Well that was our ride, just thought I'd share because it was a pretty good ride apart from Jim going off road!

Ha ha ha ha, it's all good! That'll teach him to pose like that in front of his bike then!

I know my whole bike needs a clean and a service, the pipes are Ti though so they won't ever be steel shiny (well that's my excuse anyway Razz) It needs a new chain and sprocket set and probably could wo with the valves checking aswell but I'm broke at the moment so I'm hoping the chain and sprockets will last untill I can afford a new set Sad
