Hi people as you know I've been having some trouble with my bike recently. Took it to my uncles mate last night who is a mechanic, and despite 2 other mechanics having a look at it for an hour each, this guy looked at it and 10 minutes later knew what it was. It was the oil pump, well something to do with it anyway. Basically it wasn't getting enough oil into the carb, but it's sorted now, but all this messing about with it by the other 2 guys my bike sounds really unhealthy. It's got a major top end rattle, but I dunno what it is. Maybe my small end bearings??? I am just praying to god that the piston, rings, conrod, and barrel don't go. Crying or Very sad

Hi

Would not have thought a lack of oil would have caused the problem you had (fairly violent engine stop maybe!). To be honest if it has been running insufficient oil then it would surprise me if it hasnt damaged the bearings and piston

All the best

Keith
