Hi

Just passed my CBT Upon turning 17, and im looking for a 125cc supersports bike, like the Honda CBR125, other than the CBR is there any others that look as good and are as reliable? I have seen a few of the imports like the skyjet rr7/r77 (something like that) and the Kaisar XTC and these are really nice, although they are imports...

So my main question is: How reliable are imports?

I don't have alot of money to spare as im still in college, but im looking to spend anything under £1000

Allright .

Dont take my word for it but some of the stuff ive herd about imports i wouldnt get one :S

But as i say im 16 and got a derbi gpr 50 :s

Have a look at a rs125 Wink (i want 1 of them <)

Yeah, I heard some bad things about imports, but I'm not to keen on the rs125 I heard they need a hell of a lot of attention?

My friend had an RS and he said it was a nightmare Sad

imports are no good...

it goes down to how much money you have..

if money isnt much of a problem... about £3000 look at the
yamaha yzf-r125... 125cc 4 stroke so reliable enough..

Aprilia rs 125 are reliable aslong as you check everything regularly and dont ride it red line all the time like most people...

im riding a tzr 50 and rs 50 with just a CBT btw Laughing

The Sachs XTC is quite a big 125, one of the if not the biggest super sports looking 125, people say it has problems but so far ive had none, its 4 stroke so not super fast, but its big for a 125 and sounds wicked, check it out Smile.

Yeah, I would say stick with a common Japanese bike also, more parts around should you need and they are more reliable that most others, just saying i've had no problems with mine Smile.

oh yes you want a 125, sorry, im miles away right now Neutral

looks just like a honda 125, but remember! you get what you pay for.... buy cheep pay twice if you know what i mean...

i dont know if you go in the "workshop" thred on here, but theres always problems with cheep, chinese bikes, also look on ebay? theres thousands of cheep chinese bikes with only 20mile on them.... £1000 can get you a good rs 125 that will do you well throughout college.

looks : Anything CBRish (love the supersport style)
speed : 70ish? (not to bothered but most 125's do this?)
ride quality : FUN
miles per gallon : not to high,
reliability : very

See im not 100% sure myself as I dont know a lot on bikes, basically I look and go wow...but reliability is a big big thing

looks - Big bike looks, looks far bigger than a 125.
speed - max of about 80.
ride quality - So far ive found it comfortable.
miles per gallon - 400+ miles on a full tank
reliability - Some are very reliable however some do have problems, but mine luckily has been fine Smile

They were expensive brand new but they dont make them anymore since 07, on ebay you can get a perfectly running one for 1500.
The DNA 125s are ok, they are automatic so i dont think they are good for going onto a bigger geared bike.
