Just found out that the EU ipods are all capped by 20% on volume, I noticed it was a bit quiet but didn't think much of it.

Anyway, I want to uncap it, it's annoying, it needs to be louder so I can still here my music at speed on the bike. I've come across a couple of programs but people saying they don't work on later models, anyone know anything that will fix the newest nano?

Heya chap, ive heard "GoPod" Is a good one for this, everyone says it works on all apart from shuffles!

Give it a whirl! - *Note most people say it can make it REALLYREALLYREALLY Loud, however, just turn it down!?*

Wouldn't have made a difference, the caps are put on due to EU regulations, it's just that the ipod ones can be removed on older models, so eventually I should be able to as well.

The Sony ones were removed with a few button presses though. I remember mine being ear piercingly loud.

Shame the software was shit and I sent it back for an ipod.

A decent set of in-ear headphones will make a difference, like GodzGift has mentioned. I use a pair of Sennheiser CX300s (i think thats the buggers) and they do a much better job than the wanky iPod phones.

I've decided I fucking love my new nano.

It looks sexy, it's small and with the new in ear earphones the music sounds even better.

One thing that is truly amazing though is the Genius feature, it truly is genius! I pick a song, turn on genius and get given a play list of similar songs to the one I picked. You can use it on the new itunes as well so I'm assuming if you have an older ipod you can transfer playlists to your ipod from that but it's brilliant being able to do a new one on the move.

Did I mention it's so sexy it starts conversations with hot girls on trains, no? Well it does.

Oh and the shake to shuffle feature is cool too!

In a strange turn of events I've not regretted spending over £100 on an MP3 player at all.

You reckon they're really worth it then? Been considering one but cant warrant the money on an mp3 bastard player.

I got some philips ones for £10 from Argos, I was going to get the CX300's but they were £40 in town and I wanted some earphones straight away because I'm impatient. They're an improvement at least!

Whoa, I know you wanted ear-phones straight away but the CX-300's can be found for £15 on internet. Shocked

I'm gonna get some for my iPod.

I know, which is why I refused to pay £40, I'll pick some up as soon as I can be bothered but I'm quite happy with the philips for now, they're the first ear phones I've had that successfully block out all external noise, so I'll probably just walk into som traffic soon.

Had one ages ago. One of the first gen mini's. Got bored of it after about year to be honest. Got bored of the tracks I had and couldn't be arsed to purge it and download more(I filled it). I tend to listen to Radio 1 on my phone now when I'm on the train.

Thought i'd update this thread seen as i asked about the CX300s.

Bought some from Amazon the other day for £15, they came through today and Shocked fuke me! Didn't notice too much of a difference until i started to turn the volume right up, the bass is unbelievable and everything is so much crisper! I'm sat here listening to songs i don't really even like and lovin' it.

Definately recommend 'em man. Thumbs Up
